Barak Diskin - Entrepreneur and Investor Based in Los Angeles

Barak Diskin has had an illustrious career in real estate development and Internet entrepreneurship. Motivated by the desire to create value for stakeholders, communities, and the environment, Barak Diskin has co-founded and scaled two major companies, MeUndies and City Storage Systems LLC. He has also invested in billion-dollar companies such as SpaceX and The Boring Company.

An alumnus of the University of Miami, Barak Diskin co-founded MeUndies in 2010 with his friend Jonathan Shokrian. Leveraging strategic product design and marketing, Barak Diskin guided the company that sold underwear by subscription to thousands of subscribers and over $100 million in revenue. He further oversaw capital raising from investors like Winklevoss Capital and design partnerships with artists and brands like Disney. Also overseeing operations, he ensured quality product manufacturing and delivery. He left active management in 2013.

In 2015, Barak Diskin co-founded City Storage Systems LLC, the parent company of CloudKitchens. The company serves restaurateurs, building out turnkey delivery-only kitchens that they can use to prepare food for their customers. As head of real estate, Mr. Diskin was in charge of property acquisitions, design, development, and management. His role required strong skills in project management, negotiating, financial modeling, risk assessment, strategic planning, and cross-cultural people management.

From 2015 to 2024, Mr. Diskin was pivotal in scaling CloudKitchens’ footprint from one location in Los Angeles to over 400 across the world. He was also instrumental in its capital raising efforts, most recently raising $850 million at a $15 billion valuation from investors like Microsoft in 2021.
